Tech company MOVA has unveiled more than 20 smart home products in Australia, including an all-wheel-drive robotic lawnmower and a sonar-guided pool cleaner.

MOVA may not be quite a household name in Australia but it soon could be after the innovative tech company unveiled more than 20 products covering the home, pool, garden, kitchen, personal care and pets.

One of the most impressive demonstrated at the company’s 2026 launch in Sydney was an all-wheel-drive robotic lawnmower which tackles slopes many of us would struggle to push even a light weight grass cutter up.

There’s also a new pool cleaner that uses drone and sonar technology, and some impressive suction power, to climb to walls, ascend to clean the surface water as well as getting along all the floor surfaces.

It’s so good, I think I want to get a pool just so I can have one.

MOVA also demonstrated the V70 Ultra Complete robot vacuum which has some pretty clever tricks of its own.

The company only launched in 2024 and has only been in Australia since May last year but it sees Down Under as integral to its rapid global expansion.

Its engineers have been looking at the best of what its competitors offer and going outside the square to overcome the pain points that Australians have complained about.

MOVA says its AI-powered camera can detect plaque before brushing and map areas requiring attention in the app, helping users see what they may otherwise miss.

Among them is the hassle of having to move chairs to make way for a robotic vacuum or spend time sending up guard rails for a robotic lawnmower.

MOVA says it now has almost two million customers around the world, while its products, which are supported by a three-year warranty, are in 500 stores in Australia.

The company says it has carried out extensive research on Australians’ needs.

“Seventy-three per cent have a pet, 31 million animals in 7.4 million homes. That’s fur on every surface every day,’’ one senior marketing official said at the launch.

One in seven households has a pool, while parents of kids often feel like they are struggling to keep up.

“Big, furry and wet and nobody has time to look after any of it.’’

MOVA said it aimed to help Australians spend less time on the home and move time enjoying it.

In the backyard, the firm’s lawn-moving range starts with compact models for smaller suburban yards to the flagship LiDAX Ultra 2000 AWD which combines 360° 3D LiDAR, AI vision and all-wheel drive to tackle slopes of up to 38.7 degrees and obstacles up to 6cm.

App-based scheduling, multi-zone control and precision edge trimming mean the lawn can be maintained around the household’s routine.

n the pool, the new flagship Rover X10 features a 7-in-1 OMNI Pool Cleaning System to cover from the surface to floor, including walls, waterline, steps, corners and shallow areas.

FloatDrive, EdgeDrive, 360° AquaScan and PoolNavi technologies help it map and navigate even complex pool environments.

The system comes with a remote-controlled float to ensure stable Wi-Fi-powered ultrasound signal for real-time underwater connectivity and app control.

MOVA’S Rover X10 comes with a remote-controlled float to allow you to control the pool cleaning via a mobile device.

It means if you want to take over control of it, you can, with your mobile device, guiding it around the pool to quickly get the worst of the leaves before the guests arrive.

We gave it a whirl during the demonstration and were impressed by how quickly it responded given it was fully underwater.

Nancy Zhang, country manager at MOVA ANZ, said the company had worked hard to create products that gave people time back for enjoying their home.

“Australians don’t need more technology demanding their attention, they crave technology that gives them time back,’’ she said.

The company says its system of products were designed for smarter living inside and outside the home.

“That is what ‘One Home, One MOVA’ means for us.

“Whether it is mowing the lawn, cleaning the pool, reaching the dust under a sofa, looking after a pet or getting ready in the morning, our ambition is to remove challenges from everyday routines and make premium intelligent living feel simple, useful and beautifully integrated,” Ms Zhang said.
